How Mindfulness may help with chronic illness, pain and stress

People who habitually practice mindfulness discover ways to respond to stress, distress and difficulties in ways that they’ve chosen, rather than being led by habits. Applying mindfulness, we can respond in a radically different way to thoughts and feelings that threaten to undermine us. We may not be able to control all of our circumstances, but we can learn to choose how we respond to them.
